TAVO STONE CONTRACTING is hiring (One Position) experienced Tile Setter Commercial and residential for full time employment.

Job duties:

1.      Prepare, measure and mark surface to be covered.

2.      Build under-beds and install anchor bolts, wires and brackets.

3.      Mix, apply and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives using hand trowel

4.      Setting tiles in position and applying pressure to affix tiles to base.

5.      Aligning and straightening tile using level, square and straightedge.

6.      Cutting and fitting tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.

7.      Packing grout into joints between tiles and removing excess grout.

8.      Install tile strips.

9.      Laying and setting mosaic tiles to creating decorative wall, mural and floor designs.

10.  Mixing, laying and polishing terra surfaces.

11.  Cutting, polishing and installing marble and granite.

12.  Removing and replacing cracked or damaged tiles.

13.  Installing in-floor heating systems.

14.  Providing training to more junior level, less experienced workers

Terms of employment: Permanent - Full time, overtime, Monday to Friday 9-5:30 pm

Wage:  $25.00 per hour,

Benefits package being offered:  EI - WCB - CPP

Work experience:Qualifications:

1.       Completion of secondary school

2.       Minimum 5 years Tile Setter (commercial) experience OR completion of a three to four year apprenticeship program

3.       Intermediate English skills
